Vele Samak

 Vele Samak is vice president in equity research at the largest
investment bank and a premier global financial services firm on Wall
Street. He is one of the top senior analysts in quantitative research
for investment management. 

As a leader in risk modeling and portfolio analysis, Vele has helped
investment managers and traders manage risk and construct investment
strategies. 

Mr. Samak has written and co-authored numerous research reports
distributed to some of the largest global institutional fund managers,
and has been published in the Financial Analysts Journal. His work on
risk modeling is used as recommended reading in the Chartered Financial
Analyst exam administered by the Association for Investment Management
and Research. 

Prior to his work on Wall Street, Vele worked for MIKROSAM, a family
owned business with offices in Macedonia and Germany and one of the
fastest growing high-tech firms in Macedonia, as a consultant in
implementing information technologies. 

Vele was born in Prilep, Macedonia, where he received his high-school
education. He holds a BA in economics from the University of Chicago. He
has been in the US since 1992 and is married with one daughter.
